Preston Cooper | Saturday, September 12th, 2009 | Comments Off on COSMIC Contract AwardedThe Concepts and Operations for Space and Missile Defense Integration Capabilities (COSMIC) Contract was awarded to BAE Systems Analytical Solutions (Ingenuity Research Corp. is a BAE team member). The awards are for indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) cost plus fixed fee contracts. Meaning the work is ordered by issuance of task orders defining the Government requirements to be performed. The maximum that can be ordered under the contract is $482 million for BAE over the life of the contract. The ordering periods for the contracts is Oct 06 thru Sep 16. SMDC and outside customers can use these contract vehicles for a wide spectrum of system integration / engineering / technical services to simultaneously support the Space and Missile Defense Future Warfare Center Battle Lab responsibilities ranging from future Concept Development to Command and Control (C2) systems integration. The services support system integrator expertise in the disciplines of Combat Development, Force Development, System Engineering and Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, and Facilities.
